One of the medications we offer to our clients is Semaglutide. Semaglutide is an FDA-approved medication that works by mimicking the hormone GLP-1, which helps to regulate blood sugar levels and appetite. It is commonly used to treat type 2 diabetes, but recent studies have shown that it can also aid in weight loss for individuals with a body mass index (BMI) of 27 or greater. Semaglutide has been shown to help individuals lose significant amounts of weight, with some studies reporting an average weight loss of 15-20%.

Another medication we offer is Tirzepitaide. Tirzepitaide is a peptide-based medication that works by reducing the amount of food that a person eats by suppressing appetite. It is designed for individuals with a BMI of 30 or greater, who have not been able to lose weight through diet and exercise alone. Tirzepitaide has been shown to help individuals lose an average of 12-15% of their body weight.

Topiramate is an anticonvulsant that falls into the second generation of anti-epileptic drugs and is employed to treat both epilepsy and migraine. In addition, it has the approval to be used in chronic weight management for those with a BMI of over 30. This medication is taken by itself or with other medications to combat primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures (grand mal) and partial onset seizures (which affect just one region of the brain). It can also be prescribed to control seizures caused by Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (which causes both seizures and developmental issues). Furthermore, Topiramate is also taken to prevent migraine headaches, but not to alleviate the pain associated with them when they do occur. This medication works by diminishing irregular excitement in the brain.

Phentermine, a prescription medicine designed to decrease hunger, is available in combination with topiramate (Qsymia) for long-term use, though it is typically prescribed for no longer than twelve weeks. To facilitate effective weight management, healthcare providers may sometimes extend its usage beyond the standard recommendation. This drug should only be used in conjunction with healthy dietary practices, exercise, and modifications in lifestyle to achieve optimum weight loss outcomes. Phentermine is suitable for those with obesity or who are overweight but have not been able to sufficiently lose weight through diet and exercise alone.

Enhanced energy is one of the most promised benefits of Vitamin B12, allowing one to have an easier time at the gym and working out harder without feeling fatigued. In those with a deficiency of the vitamin, such as in megaloblastic anemia, an injection may prove beneficial. Though Vitamin B12 is found in many foods, up to 43 percent of older adults may be deficient. A deficiency can cause many symptoms, such as fatigue, dizziness, muscle weakness, confusion, and even personality changes.
